Frequently Asked Questions

Yes! Some clients choose to start with a consultation and then book a project later based on our time in our consultation session.

A Design Consultation is a self-contained question and answer session: think fast-paced, note taking, and clarifying or refining ideas for your home. At the end of our session, you will walk away with actionable steps to take toward your desired outcome. This takes different forms based on a client’s needs and may look like floor plans, shopping links for items to purchase, and/or a defined color palette to work within.

A Design Project is what you may picture when seeking interior design services. This service takes place over a series of collaborative meetings and results in a fully-executable and detailed design. You then have the flexibility to implement this design on your own timeline and with the contractor of your choosing. (Rachel Poe Design does not offer construction services or purchasing of items, though we are happy to refer you to trusted contractors.)

Yes, some clients choose to work together through a series of Design Consultations to tackle their tasks at their desired pace.

Yes! Before starting a project, we’ll set up a 60-minute meeting for us to meet, see your space, and learn your goals for your project. This is also a great time to ask any questions about the Design Project process.

My goal is for your design to look and feel like you! I consider your preferences and personal style with what works best in your space. Before starting work on a Design Project, I’ll get a sense of your style by looking at inspiration images you’ve gathered as well as other spaces in your home that represent your style.

I believe that interior design services should be accessible to anyone and everyone regardless of socio-economic status. If you (or a loved one) are interested in a Design Consultation but are unable to afford the consultation fee, send me a message so we can discuss options.
